Hello. I am Brooke Voris, a Certified Wedding Consultant with the American Academy of Wedding Professionals. For as long as I can remember, I have enjoyed planning events for my family and friends but I fell in love (pun intended) with planning weddings and decided to start my own Wedding Consulting business.
A question that I often get asked from couples is:
“Why do we need a Wedding Consultant?”
This is my response:
“If your special person (mother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, etc…) can commit to this full time, you should absolutely accept their help. If not, they will not be able to provide you with the same attention and commitment that I will. I chose this career because I truly love what I do and want each couple that I work with to have the most amazing wedding that they could ever imagine. My main focus is to learn as much as I can about your wishes for a perfect wedding experience and help you make those wishes come true.”
Planning a wedding can be a very stressful time. The term “bridezilla” is popular for a reason. Brides and Grooms are expected to manage their daily lives as well as take on an extraordinary responsibility for planning one of the biggest days of their lives with ease. Trust me, it rarely works out that way. My role is to help manage the stress so that both parties get to enjoy this special time instead of being so overwhelmed that they find themselves wishing it was over.
