So, how exactly did this love story begin? We’ll tell you below. But first, PLEASE NOTE: This is not a Bertos Production. This video and audio was taken with an iPhone. I didn’t even use a tri-pod. Andrew and Julie decided last minute to hire us to host the ceremony (we were already booked to host the reception). Since I knew it was going to be a gorgeous ceremony on Race Street Pier, I asked the couple if they were ok if I took video from my iPhone. This way, we could show you examples of ceremonies we host. Considering I was standing behind the speaker (with our equipment), I’m actually surprised the audio came out semi-ok. And, I think the picture really shows what an amazing spot Race Street Pier is to get married, if you are thinking about an outside ceremony (especially with the Ben Franklin Bridge and boats in the background!).
So, how exactly did this love story begin?
Well, it really is true, “You Can’t Hurry Love.” I met with Andrew and Julie prior to their wedding to discuss their wedding plans. After they told me the story of how they met, I knew I had to tell this story at their wedding. So before I introduced this awesome couple into the reception, I explained to their guests how they came together. It was just too cute not to share. You see, Julie had a crush on Andrew in 6th grade. He had no idea. Twenty years later, they reconnected on the wonderful social media platform, called Facebook. Over Facebook pictures of Mr. Jaxs (the other love of their lives – their baby dog), Andrew found out he had a crush on her too! On October 25, 2014, we were honored to host their ceremony at Race Street Pier, and their reception at Power Plant Productions in Philadelphia, PA. Congratulations to Andrew & Julie! We were so happy and honored to be a part of their big day!
Songs we played for the ceremony:
Processional – “Marry You” in the style of Bruno Mars by the Acoustic Guitar Guy.
Bride & Groom (They walked together!!!! How cute!!) “February Seven” by the Avett Brothers.
Recessional: “You Make My Dreams Come True” by Hall and Oats.
At the Reception:
Bride and Groom were introduced to “You Can’t Hurry Love” by Phil Collins.
First Dance: ” I Choose You” by Sara Bareilles.
