If you planted a garden this year have you received any crops yet? If so please share by posting your pictures below. Mom planted a garden in my back yard. She wanted me to feature it in this Tuesday’s Tip. She’s very proud of it. She should be! It’s awesome. So far we’ve received beans, peppers, strawberries, cucumber and a few tomatoes! We’re still waiting on more tomatoes, yellow squash and zucchini. Thanks Mom!

Although what we do in our small backyard, container garden, or community garden plot may seem insignificant, it really does matter. Imagine if each of the 82 million households that garden followed environmentally responsible lawn care and landscaping practices, such as growing well-adapted plants, watering and fertilizing correctly, mowing and pruning properly, avoiding invasive plants, using pesticides judiciously, and preserving wildlife habitats.
