Join me on the road so you can see what it’s like in the day in my life as a female DJ. Thank you to Melissa Gordon of Bellissimo Creations for inviting me to DJ the Cupcakes & Bow ties event at the Rosenfeld Gallery in Old City, Philadelphia, PA. What was SUPER COOL about this gallery party? Not only were we supporting a great cause, the gallery had close to perfect acoustics! The music sounded amazing! As soon as Jareth and I did our sound check we looked at each other like, “WOW”. Then, during my interview with Barbara Rosenfeld, one of the owners (the other is her husband Richard), she told us many musicians tell her the gallery has close to perfect acoustics. They actually have Jazz concerts there all the time. Although I can’t use the audio of the songs I was playing during this event for this video, I can tell you it sounded like we were in concert.
So what was this unique event all about? Cupcakes & Bowties was a fundraiser to bridge awareness, business and the arts to the Sickle Cell Community. What else was SUPER COOL? Sheena Maria traveled all the way from North Carolina to speak at the event. She was amazing! I was so happy I was able to be a part of this fundraiser.
Hope you’re playing music! If you like the coverage of my events, don’t forget to Subscribe! Thank you everyone! DeeJay Shelly
Special thanks to my DJ Tech, Jareth Wolk, for all his help with this setup! By the way, if you’re looking to purchase a studio with AMAZING acoustics, the gallery is actually up for sale! The owners are retiring.
