Michelle Lee’s Summary
Isn’t the Please Touch Museum for kids?
It is – both BIG and small! The magnificent architecture, mixed with numerous fun activities, will have your guests saying, “Please take me back!” Of course, I am a little biased. Their DJ booth is one of the best around! In the middle of the booth is a gigantic, artsy replica of the Statue of Liberty’s arm holding the flame – SUPER COOL! (image to the right).
Yet, the DJ booth is only one of the reasons I love this venue. They had me at “Hello” when they told me about their unique cocktail hours. Their downstairs play area can actually be turned into an adult cocktail space with “Big Kid” activities. What’s more? You can get lost in Wonderland with Alice, pretend you produce TV shows, and ride a horse carousel. You and your guests may not be able to handle all this fun! (Photos to left & right taken on DeeJay Shelly’s iPhone)
With all of these games, is the Please Touch Museum really a place to hold a wedding, or high end event?
OMG YES! The first time I walked through the front doors, I felt like I was Cinderella. Magnificent is the only word I can think of to describe the inside architecture and design. Truly, a venue fit for a princess, or prince! As a matter of fact, I can’t wait to DJ Christian and Mark’s wedding there this October!!!
Oh and there is one more reason I love this venue…. Hali Zaben! For more information about this unique venue space, or to book your event, contact Hali Zaben Sales Coordinator for Brulee Catering at the museum. By phone: 215.578.5186 By email: Hzaben@Brulee-Catering.com

Project Catch – Raleigh, NC
On November 30, 2018 MLE and others in the events industry paid tribute to the Studio 54 Era, “Gamble” at the casino and dance the night away all to benefit the children of Project CATCH (Community Action Targeting Children Who Are Homeless) .
View Photo Gallery By
Why?
1 in 30 children are currently homeless in Wake County. That is approximately 7,000 children. A 28% increase since 2016.
75% of children experiencing homelessness are behind in math and reading when they start Kindergarten.
70% of CATCH children have never been in any type of child care or received Pre-K education.
60% of CATCH children who have been assessed have a speech delay at age three.
Project CATCH is committed to ending the cycle of homelessness locally. CATCH stands for Community Action Targeting Children who are Homeless and is a collaborative case management model completely unique to Raleigh, North Carolina. This amazing organization provides services and advocates for children experiencing homelessness. They work with 11 area homeless shelters and programs to ensure that they are able to correctly identify and address the specific needs of the children in their care.
$250 provides wrap around case management for one CATCH child for an entire year. This includes developmental screenings, full psychosocial assessment, connection with medical and mental health services, educational support and advocacy, connection with housing resources, basic needs such as food and clothing, diapers, back to school supplies, child care, camps and after-school activities. Currently one case manager is only able to serve 450 children per year.
Now, Project CATCH needs our help. They are looking to raise $100,000 in order to greater meet the needs of our community. The hard truth is that the more work that Project CATCH does, the more need they discover.
MLE was honored to provide the entertainment for this event. We hope to see you next year!
