One of the biggest pieces of news to enter into this New Year of 2014 comes from a band known for its “Rumors”, and it turns out, this “rumor” may be true: Vocalist/keyboardist Christine McVie has reclaimed her position in Fleetwood Mac, following a 16-year absence. Drummer Mick Fleetwood recently told the audience at Uncle Willie K’s BBQ Blues Fest in Maui that, “This is the worst kept secret there is, but Christine McVie will be rejoining Fleetwood Mac.” The band has yet to release the news formally.
In late 2013 McVie began rehearsing with her former band Fleetwood Mac for two shows on the group’s European tour. McVie joined the band for a rousing performance of the Rumours cut “Don’t Stop” at London’s O2 Arena. Two months later it appeared McVie had found joy at the possibility of rejoining the band saying to The Guardian, “If they were to ask me I would probably be very delighted . . . but it hasn’t happened so we’ll have to wait and see.”
Regarding her first appearance with the group after more than a decade away, the singer said, “It was amazing, like I’d never left. I climbed back on there again and there they were, the same old faces on stage.”
Recently, McVie’s former band mate, Stevie Nicks told Rolling Stone that if she wants to come back, the door is open. “She started the damn band,” she said.
Welcome back Christine McVie, we missed you!!

HIP HOP NEWS: Outkast set to Reunite in 2014!
To celebrate what will be the 20th Anniversary since the inception of the Hip Hop band, Outkast, the band is set to reunite, and will be playing over 40 festivals worldwide this year, beginning with their headlining appearance in April at Coachella.
“It’s truly an honor to celebrate 20 years and still be free to do music the way we choose,” Big Boi said in a statement. “I’m looking forward to rocking the stage with my Bro Ski and to all the fans, stank you smelly much. This is for y’all!”
“And imagine, all we wanted to do was rap,” said André 3000. “I am thankful to have been a part of a group that allowed me to explore anything that came to mind and have fun doing it. Returning to the stage together is the most exciting way for us to thank everyone for their 20 years of supporting Outkast.”
OutKast will take the stage at Coachella nearly 20 years to the day that they released their debut album, Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik, in April 1994.
The duo announced the full return this past January 13 on its newly launched Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.

TOP 40/POP NEWS: Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers set to perform at the Super Bowl!
According to Rolling Stone magazine, singer Bruno Mars has enlisted some top help to make his turn as the entertainment for the Super Bowl XLVIII halftime show into a site to behold by bringing on board the Red Hot Chili Peppers! The Los Angeles Times reports that the Chili Peppers will join the singer on February 2nd during his set at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium.
As it turns out for Mars, the Chili Peppers will already be in the tri-state area since they happen to be headlining sports radio station WFAN’s “Big Hello to Brooklyn” concert February 1st at the Barclays Center.
“Mars announced recently that the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers will join him as part of his halftime show.
Super Bowl halftime performers often have collaborators. Last year, Beyonce had Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams from her Destiny’s Child days join her onstage, and two years ago Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. joined Madonna for her halftime show.
Bruno Mars was named Billboard’s 2013 artist of the year, and his hits include the No. 1 song “When I Was Your Man”. Mars’ Grammy-nominated sophomore album, “Unorthodox Jukebox,” has sold almost 2 million copies.”
Last year, Super Bowl XLVII was the most-watched program on television bringing in over 100 million viewers.
