This week’s review? Sofitel Philadelphia – Where life is Magnifique!
What we love…
1) It’s French inspired!
2) Window hooks for dresses & suits!
Many of us have experienced the “hanging of the wedding dress, or suit, onto the fire alarm sprinkler”. Sometimes it’s the only way to get the perfect photo before it’s worn for the first time. If you haven’t witnessed this, you can only imagine how tense it can be for everyone in the room until this photo shoot is over! Sofitel has done away with this wedding nightmare. Now, photographers, videographers, and couples getting married around the world can stay calm! There are hooks on the windows!
3) Luxurious while approachable

Michelle Lee’s Summary:
Sofitel is one of the most inviting hotels in Philadelphia. As you arrive, each hotel staff member greets you in a warm French welcome, “Bonjour”! Every guest is treated as VIP. Part of Sofitel’s goal of being a “luxury, but approachable” hotel starts with every guest receiving the same luxury hotel amenities; marble bathrooms with soaking tubs, free WiFi, flat screen TVs, white robe, a down bed and comforter feathered everyday (yes everyday), and a brasserie.
As a guest you can also enjoy Sofitel’s stylish Liberté Lounge. This fashionable bar and lounge boasts “tantalizing French-inspired cuisine”. What I love most about the lounge is it’s inviting feel, warm setting, and trendy atmosphere – perfect for your after party!
While the hotel brings a taste of the French culture, it also “blends cultures together”. It does this by incorporating the local flare and vibe into their menus and events. While eating lunch there for the first time, I was so surprised to see a Philly soft pretzel featured on their bread plate! Since many of the hotel guests are from around the world, its comforting knowing Sofitel is embracing and sharing our Philly culture with everyone. Another way Sofitel helps to bring cultures together? The hotel gives some of their employees a world experience by transferring them to work in their hotel destinations around the globe. Their logo of the connecting links is to represent connecting people and cultures together.
Sofitel Weddings can include:
– Custom Menus
– Custom Cakes (They have their own dessert chef, Leah)
– Traditional “Croque-En-Bouch” (A fun french dessert tradition to incorporate into your unique wedding)
– Everything in one location! (Ceremony, Reception, After Party, Restful sleep on your freshly feathered down bed, and morning brunch all without having to leave the hotel!)
If the perfect place for your wedding would be somewhere “luxurious, yet approachable”, French inspired with local culture, and/or the convenience of everything in one location, Alors ne cherchez pas plus loin que Sofitel Philadelphia! Then look no further than Sofitel Philadelphia!
