This is “The Love List” by our female wedding DJ, DeeJay Shelly & Wedding Photographer Christine Angeline! Combined we have over 30 years experience in the wedding industry. We want to be the resource for newly engaged couples! As experts in the industry, we thought we’d share our list of favorite WEDDING VENUES with you. Each Wednesday we’ll feature one venue we love. This week? THE FRANKLIN COMMONS.
What we love: We had to feature this venue for one simple fact. Its DIFFERENT, in the best way possible! You have to visit the venue to really get what we’re talking about. It used to be a Silk Mill and it retains so much of its history in its structure, huge original factory doors and machinery, not to mention the beautiful light that pours in the huge panes of glass. You might have to trade off a few things. BUT, if your a couple that sees a cool space and then just racks your brain on how you can make it work for your wedding. This place, IS that place and HAS been transformed. Go see if its for you! See more below:
1.) The UNIQUE industrial structure and character of the space
2.) Plenty of free parking
3.) Everything will surprise you, even the bathrooms!
Look & Feel: Industrial, Historical
Location: Phonexville, PA
Outside Ceremony: Yes
Staff & Service: Very Friendly & Accommodating
First Impressions: This venue is literally a diamond in the rough. While the outside is rather unimpressive walking inside requires you to say “Wow!”
Parking: Plenty of free parking
Hotels Close By: Hampton Inn Suites – Valley Forge/Oaks Location
Bathrooms: Impressively large and pretty!
Capacity: 1000
Why it made our list:
This venue felt like a factory you would find in New York that you might dream you could turn into a unique space for your wedding. BUT, the perk is that its not in the city and parking is plentiful and free!
