The Big Fake Wedding. This female DJ hit NYC!

I was so excited to DJ The Big Fake Wedding NYC!

David & Meg were the happy couple getting married — again (they were actually renewing their wedding vows. By holding a fake wedding, the newly engaged couples attending the expo could see the vendors in action!)

David, Meg, their little family members and friends were amazing! They had so much fun and danced all night! I attended the show as the female DJ on behalf of EastCoast Entertainment. Everyone was so awesome to work with throughout the entire show. Many thanks to Nathan Barta for helping me out on the ones and twos! Nathan is a huge part of every event we host. Since most weddings require an emcee to make announcements, and a DJ to play music, we take turns manning the decks. I’m happy to say our DJ/MC duo was a hit! We already received a request to host a wedding in Boston next year! We can’t wait!

A Quick Sneak Peak into Diner en Blanc Philadelphia!

Get SHELL Shocked! This is a quick sneak peak inside Diner en Blanc Philadelphia! (Footage taken using my iPhone). There was much more to this fantastic event, but I wanted to bring you a quick highlight of what happened last night at the Navy Yard!! A little rain did not scare these people away! Over 4,500 of them!

Last night, I wasn’t on the ones and twos. So what was I doing? Having an amazing time with Erica Faletto, on behalf of Mid-Atlantic Events Magazine, covering “Diner En Blanc”. This year’s location in Philadelphia? The Navy Yard! What an amazing time. I don’t know what was better – the food, the entertainment, the location – it was just awesome!! The most magical part about Diner en Blanc is the “secret” location. Guests do not find out until an hour before the party where it is located! It creates such an atmosphere of intrigue and excitement! I already can’t wait for next year!! I hope you enjoy this quick highlight of the event!

If you’re planning on attending next year, make sure you are dressed to impress!!! You’ll want to stop into Touché in King of Prussia! They have amazing French Clothing and European Accessories!

We’re going to The Big Fake Wedding NYC!

It’s Wedding Wednesday! I’m so excited to head to NYC this week to DJ The Big Fake Wedding! I hope NYC is ready to Get Shell Shocked!

The Big Fake Wedding is a unique bridal expo. The show organizers stage a fake wedding. This way, couples can experience their wedding vendors in action. I was so excited when EastCoast Entertainment asked me to be the DJ for the show in NYC! Of course, I said “YES!”. The team and I love to travel. Back in April we hosted the after party for the Specialty Food’s Sofi Awards. This Tuesday, it looks like Nathan Bartan and I are headed back to the big apple! This time for a wedding! It’s going to be so much fun! I can’t wait to meet all of the newly engaged couples!

Gorgeous Sri Lankan Wedding Dress!

I say, “YES” to the dress. Both of them!

We just got back from the Youghiogheny Country Club in Pittsburgh, PA. We hosted a beautiful Sri Lankan and American wedding! Congratulations to Ron and Ishi. While Ishanka wore an American style wedding dress for the outside ceremony, she changed into a traditional Sri Lankan wedding dress for the reception. Both dresses were absolutely gorgeous! We were so happy to host this multi-cultural event.

Ishi and Ron made their parent dances extra special! Before Ishi and her father danced, not only did I translate the meaning of their song, Ishi actually sung the first part! While I was not able to grab Ron’s special dedication to his mom on video, it was AWESOME! Ron escorted his mother, Lisa, to the floor to dance to, “Hot, Hot Hot” by Buster Poindexter. After dancing a few seconds together, they started to invite guests to join them! Secretly, Lisa didn’t know I planned to give our dancers flowered leis to add to their fiesta!

Wait! There’s more surprises! Ishi and Ron pleasantly shocked their guests with their first dance which was a mix of “Thinking out lout” by Ed Sheeran and “Danza Kuduro” by Don Omar. We LOVED their latin dance moves! Ishi and her girlfriends also planned a special dance to perform for their guests! This was truly a unique wedding! We were very honored to be a part of their big day.
